I wrote it after coming back off a holiday where my partner and I went scuba diving and I just had this idea, because there weren’t many books out there that featured diving in them. I published my first novel, Ladyfish, in 2012 with Bold Strokes Books. I have a new book coming out on the 6 th of December called The Last First Time. Now, my wife and I have a campsite in the Lake District which keeps us busy during the summer, and gives me all winter to write down the stories I plan while I’m talking to customers.
I studied music at university and worked as a private tutor for a while afterwards alongside a few odd jobs psychiatric nursing, care work, driving instructor,etc, always knowing that I wanted to be a writer but not really being ready to write the stories in my head.
